Audrey Salomon (G.Nederland)
Op gevoel en intuitie schildert en tekent Audrey Salomon het vrouwelijk lichaam als een plek van kracht en kwetsbaarheid. Soms intens en explosief, soms zacht en transparant, beweegt de verf als een emotie over het papier. De dynamiek van het aquarelproces - het vloeien, overlappen en toevallig ontstaan van vormen - wordt onderdeel van het beeld
Vanuit mijn indische roots onderzoek ik het lichaam niet alleen als vorm maar als drager van herinnering, gevoel en geschiedenis. In mijn schilderijen ontmoeten kwetsbaarheid en kracht elkaar. Kleur wordt een taal-soms uitbundig, soms verstild- waarmee ik persoonlijke en culturele herinneringen vertaal naar een universeel beeld van de mens.

My inspiration begins with cinema - the strange, intimate and poetic worlds created by directors.
I am drawn to the way they transform ordinary moments into something mysterious. A gesture, a colour, a face, a room or a silence can suddenly carry deeper meaning.
In my paintings, I explore that same space between reality and imagination. The human figure becomes a character, while colour, atmosphere and composition create a world of their own.
My work is not about telling a complete story. It is about creating a moment - one that feels familiar, yet slightly unexpected. A moment where beauty, vulnerability, desire and mystery can exist together.
